Santander Internet banking useless!

I have been trying to log on to Santander's online banking but it is totally useless. I get as far as putting my customer I.D. in and the next page just comes up blank. Has anyone else encountered this? Have to say I am not impressed with the speed of setting up online banking with them. It has taken about a fortnight. my online banking applications with the other banks/building societies were all up and running within a couple of days.

    Never had any problems, although sometimes the page immediately after logging in which usually has some sort of advert for one of their products - supposedly targeted to my needs! - will just say "Mr msallen" and be blank otherwise - i.e. with the advert missing. That doesn't stop me just hitting the "Continue" button (or whatever it says on it) though.

    Absolutely no problems ever with their online banking which I have been using for the last 4 or so years. I use IE for my online banking (with all banks).

    OP, try cleaning your browsing history and cookies. If it still doesn't work, you might have some plugins, or have set security settings that prevent the Santander site from operating correctly. If you use a different browser, with no plugins or other modifications, I am sure it will work for you.

    I'm on Safari. No problems whatsoever with TSB, Natwest, YBS, Halifax. They all open up fine, Santander doesn't want to play ball. Got no plug ins or mods.

    Which browser ? and are you trying on a work network or something that may be blocking it.

    No, just on my iPad. All the other online banks let me log on no problem.

    Have you tried a different browser?

    Have you tried the Santander app? (though with the app, you can't do things like setting up new payees, I think)

    I've never had any problem with the online experience, wait until you have to interact with a real person though...
    Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
