cheaper Home Insurance help !!!

i currently pay £46pm for building,contents and cover outside the home for my £4000 engagement ring ( this has really bumped the price up use to be about £20ish.
anyway due up in sept
and i got a quote (through quidco and more than ) for £25pm £85 cashback but leaves my ring uninsured
is there anyway i can insure my ring seperate

any help or advicexxx

The short answer is "no". I do not know of an insurance (other than that issued by jewellers at the time of purchase) that will cover the ring by itself. You also have the problem that if you insure with two different companies and need to make a claim from both of them, you have to pay two excesses. It may look attractive to have a lower price on your insurance, but that is not always the best plan!

I hope someone else can offer you better advice, but if I were in your position I would make sure everything including the ring was covered under 1 policy.

I don't know of any separate cover just for a ring.

I would personally ensure that all the quotes you get include the ring and then go with cheapest..... as long as they are reputable.
