RCD keeps tripping out after socket getting wet

Hello. I need your help please.
This morning I unfortunately got an electrical socket wet when I was soaking wallpaper in order to strip off the walls.
Since then my rcd keeos tripping out and was wondering if it is just the case of akkoing time for things to dry out prooerly?

    Probably, just leave it to dry or take it off and dry over a radiator.

    If you can take the cover off the socket safely to allow more air to circulate it will probably dry out of its own accord. Just leaving it will keep moisture trapped and may take longer, but it should dry out. Keep the room warmish and have a bit of ventilation too to get rid of the water vapour. Some people resort to hair dryers, but take care. Do all this with the circuit OFF at the RCD.

    Dont touch it if Its wet without all the power off in all the house .
    I do Contracts, all day every day.

    I'l show you if you like. Its called using the other circuit with the tripping circuit disconnected and an extension lead.

    Give me strength. If you have worked as a plumber for more than five minutes you get to know these tricks that display ones high intellect and ability..;):D
