Charles Stanley require a £500 initial investment in any one fund, beyond that point top ups in the same fund, whether regular or not, can be made with an additional £100 minimum at no cost.
I'd suggest one fund is the way to proceed, initially at least. The obvious candidate being VLS or something similar.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -
Why not try calling Cavendish, or one of the others, explain the situation and see whether they would accept a Quarterly DD?
In my experience with other service providers (non investment) the rules as they are published can be flexed if they want your money.0 -

Thanks for the clarification.0 -
If you do decide £50 a month is doable then Charles Stanley also have that option, a regular £50 pcm top up.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0

Another option is an investment trust share plan. They start from £25 per month. Not inside an ISA but if you're a basic rate taxpayer the difference won't matter.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Be aware that as with those imagined 'discounts' on initial charges, with HL in particular, many of the less high-lighted discounts on management charges are just relative to another class of the same fund that no one actually offers. A bit like those trixy price cuts relative to 'recommended retail price' we used to see.
In addition to "discounts" there are some fund classes that only exist on certain platforms which doesn't make it that easy to compare.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
