Sainsburys PPI

Anyone had any experience making a successful PPI complaint against Sainsburys?
HBOS / Lloyds have told me they cannot any find any record of the two Sainsburys cards I used to have.
However, both Halifax and Lloyds were able to locate my old card accounts going as far back as 1998 and 2004, as was Amex. This is despite each account being closed for over 6 years, which is the amount of time companies are compelled to retain records.
It therefore concerns me that HBOS / Lloyds claim they cannot find any record, at all, of my accounts.
I have now submitted SARs to each bank and card provider I have ever had a relationship with. This will hopefully reveal my Sainsburys details through payment or balance transfer records.

As far as I'm aware, Sainsbury's Bank was launched in 1997. If your complaint is regarding a credit card issued by Sainsbury's Bank, then I wouldn't be surprised by the fact that neither HBOS nor Lloyds have any records.
Perhaps some clarification is needed?0 -
I took a master card and visa card with Sainsburys in mid 1998 and I closed them between 2004 and 2008.
The Lloyds card I had between mid 1998 and 2001 and Halifax between 2002 and 2006.0
