might as well have some fun with it.

The way to deal with all this stuff! Even if it gets to the Small Claims Court, this isn't a crim offence - no cloaks, no wigs, no black caps and 'taken to a place of lawful execution' sh1te (not even a CCJ, which many thing is worse than meeting the hangman!). Just fight it, and have fun with it!

Take them on and make them work for anything they claim!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Response sent. Didn't bill them, but said everything else - a mate who's a lawyer advised me to keep it civil, at least for now, because a judge would be more sympathetic if I was "nice".

Any more letters, and I start billing them.

And reporting them to the DVLA.

do please keep us informed ........

VCS use skippy at the kangaroo court for appeals at IAS.........

it would be nice to see how an independent skippy refutes the incorrect evidence to refuse an appeal ;)

HA! They wrote back, said they'd considered my comments and withdrew the claim!

    AND apologised.

I'd be tempted to send them an invoice for the research you had to do at the court approved rate of £18/hour.

    All they said was:

We refer to your appeal against the Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

We have accepted the points you raised and we can confirm that the PCN has been cancelled with immediate effect and our records are now closed.

Your cooperation int he matter is appreciated and we wish to convey our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Yours sincerely,

Bear in mind that, should VCS decide to pursue this on the basis of the 'no return within x hours' line that this actually constitutes Trespass, ...

Interesting, does that apply to Council tickets as well I wonder?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Maybe. But Council tickets have statutory backing whereas PPC tickets are just invoices.
