Yep, warranty has come back - yes, they'll pay for it, the amount they're willing to pay is £140 short of the full amount the garage are charging.

well so much for the warranty ,

however they should have paid the full cost of replacement0 -

They have paid the full cost of the part as listed by a supplier that the garage won't use due to quality issues in the past.Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.0 -
ok its a hard one , but you should not really be out of pocket because the garage chooses the parts to be fitted, the new parts will have a warranty by either maker , and or corse be covered by the warranty company
catch 22 , ask the warrenty company to tell you which garage to go to , where you can have the part fitted (with warranty) and the full labour costs paid.
much as the garage found it , they hav,nt actually done any work on the car yet0
