Received a ticket on private land

Hi There!
I was visiting a friend at their home which is a flat in a private complex. The parking is managed by UKPC.
Firstly, I was shocked to find a ticket had been placed on my car as I was parked in their allocated space and I was displaying their parking permit. The reason on the ticket given was "Parked in a permit area wit-out displaying a valid permit"
The permit was on display upside down, but was still visible with all details visible such as the pass been issued to the complex and their door number etc.
I think I have good grounds to challenge this? What are your thoughts?
