Brick opening too large for standard door set

I want to put a door in a brick opening in an external wall which is approx 2160mm wide by 2400 high. The largest standard sliding/bifold/French doors I have found are 2090mm h maximum by 2090mm w. Can any of you clever people tell me the best way to reduce the size of the brick opening?

You can get Bifolds that are 3m high and 7m wide, you can do the same with some patio systems and you can easily get standard doors to fit that hole so i don't see your problem?

You can buy doors in that size, maybe not in B&Q.

I've used them a few times in the past. Your doors do need to be a little smaller than your brick to brick opening. Check the opening in a few places as well as walls often aren't perfectly straight.

  • I don't doubt you can get bespoke in that size - I was asking about standard off the shelf doors. Or would it be more expensive to adapt the opening to a smaller door than to have a door made to the size of the opening?

You can get a quote on the website I posted. Compare the prices. An extra course of bricks at the bottom will shorten your opening but I really don't see the point. You're going to either pay for labour or product, or have an inferior solution.
