I recieved small claims court papers in January, I disputed the debt and sent the forms back. Last month I recieved more papers asking me for preferred court etc. How long will it be before I get information on when the case will be? Or do I need to contact northampton myself? Any info at all on how this works will be helpful as I'm not currently in the country and will need notice to get back.

You need to be sure that you are aware of what is happening as and when court dates are eventually set. It may take a couple of months to get allocated. After that any failure to meet court deadlines can be detrimental as judgement in default is easy for an applicant to get. If you are out of the UK you may want to speak to the court to let them know where you are. There is also no reason why you should not call the court centre in Northampton to find out what is happening. But it is a slow process.0

Can you still track the claim online at the moment?0

I don't know how to do that. Where do I need to go online?
Edit: I think I have found it, is it MCOL? I'm registering for this now.0 -
Unless you have the password from your initial paperwork you may struggle. It really depends if both parties opted for mediation depending on length. Once you filed the questionnaires if it gets transferred a notice will be posted to you. It may be worth giving the court a call just to check if still with Northampton or where at currently so can keep an eye on it.:beer:Member of Mortgage free in three. :beer:55. littlemonkeywolf.
