Anyone ever tried or know of London Party Boats?

Hey there,

I wanted to do something slightly different for my 22nd birthday and was wondering if anyone has ever tried going on one of those London party cruises? If so, did you enjoy it, what company did you use and what did you pay roughly? And.... what age range does it tend to attract? I would prefer a similar age group or mixed.

I was looking at londonpartyboats.co.uk in particular - anyone ever tried that company or know if they are legit?

All answers appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

  • I went on one once for my friend kath from works birthday. I was dreading a bit to be honest cos I though boats + boooze = seasick! but it was really fun plus we got free entry into opal nightclub after which was such a laugh. it wasnt the above one you mentioned though but i heard they're fun! it was one called absolute party cruises i think, give it a google.

the age was more mixed then i expected - it wasnt loads of 18 y/os being sick but there was a good mix of people in their twenties, some thirties (some older, but that added to the fun) music was cheesy but in a fun way - recommend having some beers before to add to the experience lol. we paid £29 for a tick each but including all the extras u get with it (food, night club entry etc) it actually was quite decent for a nice night out to remember :)

Ah thanks runnergirl1992, glad to hear you had fun! Just had a look at their website and it seems so similar to the one I was looking into - from the buffet to the cost and also the free entry to Opal nightclub! I am tempted to use them but they don't offer Friday nights which is when I wanted to ideally go as that is when the trains run all night and I need to get back to Luton somehow.

Thanks for the recommendation paddyrg but I can't seem to see whether or not they offer cruises on their website? It seems to be for people who want to book the whole boat unless I misunderstood.

    Hiya,

I don't know if they'll do just what you're after - I just know they're pukka and have some cool boats with bars etc :-) Maybe worth a call - they may also suggest other options/companies if they don't do it themselves as nobody knows the Thames better

Apart from the 51 people killed in the Marchioness disaster then. We'll let you off though, as it was 3 years before you were born.

I can say that I have now been on the cruise and would like to give some feedback on here for anyone who is in the same position as me in the future and manages to stumble across this thread!

I ended up going with Absolute Party Cruises (thanks for the recommendation!) and it was a pretty good 4 hour cruise! Here is what I enjoyed and the potential downfalls:

    Enjoyed:
    - Taking in the sights and lights of London whilst cruising down the river Thames - marvellous!
    - DJ played a good range of music
    - Great value for what it is (£30 for cruise, food and entry to nightclub)

    Downfalls:
    - Food was not very good at all but hey, if you are hungry and for the price - meh!
    - Crowd were fun but it was two hen do's so mostly women. But all friendly and mixed age.
    - Floor was really sticky even before the night began.
