What cables do I need?

I am about to purchase a HP laser printer 1020, but can't find out exactly what I need to buy in the way of cables. Does anyone know? Do the necessary cables come in the box with the printer or do they have to be purchased separately and, if so, which ones?
PLEASE, would appreciate advice on this!
Many thanks.

should only need a USB cable if there is not one in your box
if you already have a USB printer then that cable will do as it will be the same
in MSE style take a look in the pound shop for an a-b usb cable like this (PCworld etc charge the earth for the same thing)

Yes, as Browntoa mentions, it's most lilkely to be a regular USB cable. And it's probably included in the box - so I'd wait & see.
Btw, where are you getting it from & how much?
Cheapest I could find it online is £51.09 delivered from MicroWarehouse, +5% cashback too from Quidco.
Next best is £51.23 delivered from Amazon. G0 -
The 1020 doesnt come with a cable so get down to a pound shop and buy one.0

I am going to buy it from Amazon. Really sick about it because last week it was £44.99 from Amazon so could have saved a few pounds if I had been quicker. Also their cheap Belkin laptop bag seems to have vanished, which I was also going to buy. I didn't realize that their prices change so quicly!Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

A pound shop is a shop where everything they sell costs £1 if the item is less than £1 its normally a multi buy 2 for £1 or 3 for £1. They sell basic stuff like USB cables if you don't want to go to a pound shop then pay £15 from PC world
I buy them from scan when I go in for about 58p they are always usefull to carry in my car when I turn up to a site to install a printer people never buy a cable. most of the time they give them to me free as I buy loads of stuff in scan they know me pretty well.
As for where is the pound shop, in Bolton town center they are everywhere nearly every other shop is a pound shop its pants just check your local high street.0 -
Pound shop is like Poundland (<--- to check your nearest) & they/similar are situated all over the country (though I don't have one where I live). All the items are usually just £1, unless they're 'multibuys'.Sorry to sound thick, but what is the pound shop and where is it?
If you have a Wilkinson, they may do a USB cable for around £2-3. G0 -
If you give Poundland a call on 0800 731 5622 they will hopefully still be able to check stock levels in individual stores - I did this some time ago - I was put through to the manager in my local store who then ordered some £1 mic headsets as they were available from the warehouse.
Give them a try, there's quite a difference between £51 and £1.

Does this look like the right one? Just wanted to check before ordering with the printer.
