Caravan heating
Hi
Need some help on caravan heating please! Its SO cold in the bedrooms which have little like panel heaters attached to the wall and only seem to heat themselves as the room stays so cold.
Was thinking about skirting heaters, any idea if they will take chill off the room and are they okay to leave on overnight? Or any other good cheap to run heaters?
Thanks in advance

Hiya, Oh and I have been on several caravan holidays. and I do know what you mean about cold bedrooms.
I take my thick throw to put on the bed. The duvet covers are very thin.
I make a point of having the bedroom doors open wide in the evenings so the heat spreads about the whole van.
We Use the single gas fire and sometimes heat the van by our small electric fire we bring with us.
We SC so the cooker is also giving out heat.
When we go to sleep all heating is off.
Mornings can be chilly, but I often wake up about 6am so put some heating on.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

500W?
I very much doubt that would make much of a noticeable difference.
Try a couple of these instead ... and still have money left over from what you planned to spend

Edit: or for £3.60 more (each) you could have them with a timer0 -

Ta i already have one of them 2kw but was worried the 16yr old who doesnt "worry" about bills would have it on full blast overnight!!
May take that one and top up with the 500 watt one to just keep the chill off!0 -

There is no 'cheap' electric heating on a single rate supply. Al electric heaters are 100% efficient and so cost the same to run per kWh.
I would imagine that the main problem with a caravan is that the insulation is inadequate for winter. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
