Noise from rear tyre - I think

It's kind of like a whirring/vibrating noise. Most noticeable from 30mph and upwards.
Had the tyre repaired a few months ago due to a screw, but this noise has only appeared over the last couple of weeks. Inflated them yesterday and it was down to about 27PSI as apposed to all the others which were about 30-32.
I've had a brief look at the tyre. Nothing obvious I can see but I will take it off a look properly when it stops raining.
Is there anything else it could be? :undecided

it could be a wheel bearing, or if you can swap the tyres front with rear take it for a nice test drive & see if the noise has moved if it has then their would be a issue with the tyre/wheel.0

If it's RWD, next door's cat wrapped round the driveshaft?
eta: Oh, you said "whirring", not "purring" :P0 -

That's a very good idea. I didn't even think of that.0 -

its the sort of thing garages do & charge for0 -
Had something similar with Pirelli tyres on a Peugeot 407. For some reason it would scallop the inside edge of the tread of the rear wheels which caused a thrumming sound.
Not dangerous, just annoying at about 40mph.0
