    Homes for people not plans.

Are you in politics in your other life? If so, you forgot the 'hard-working' bit. ;)
  • I would imagine OP isn't someone who has contributed personally to the overpopulation of Britain and thus the need for so many houses

(politically incorrect comments due in explanation at this point)

so understandably they have decided not to suffer from it if they can help.

Many of us are also in the same position, so understandable if we oppose planning developments that will affect us.
  • Ive had a look at the deeds. No mention of shared ownership or right of way. As a side thought can a developer purchase half an alleyway? Anyway neighbors (3) have been getting on board and we have started to write letters to object.

Well, this thread is a veritable NIMBY's charter isn't it?

The dreams of three modest homes for three families crushed before they have begun.

You cant have a home here its by a footpath, you cant have it there Mrs Miggins will have to see it when she goes to her garage. Not there we'd have to cut down a tree.

    Enough of NIMBYS.

    Well, I'm a NIMBY.....and proud of it!!!

Good for you, single_lonely; I hope that your appeal is successful, although sadly if your council is anything like ours, I 'm afraid it won't make any difference. Our council is hellbent on building over every possible piece of land, no matter how unsuitable.:(
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.

Looks perfectly reasonable and I will bet my last pound that the plot was sold by the council with these plans already discussed with their planners.

Are you down to your last pound Bris? How did you lose all the others? Oh... I see;)

(just teasing - I think you are probably right)
  • Just an update I have spoken to someone at planning.
He guided me through all the steps and through a document listing all the points they failed to meet as he went along (SPD doument).
If you wanted to help any more he could have written the letter himself!

Anyone in the future wants a copy, let me know and i'll email a copy.

Why? Are you a minister of religion, or something?

Anyway, if I have no omnipresent God to see me, I might lie! :D

Were these points that could easily be rectified and an amended application submitted?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
