Barclaycard Initial Question

I have had a Barclaycard Initial Credit Card for 7 months now and the credit limit is still £150. I just do not know what I am doing wrong!
The fact that I pay it off in full every month means I can afford it and also they get nothing out of me via Interest charges so the current situation neither suits me or them really!!!
I also have an Aqua Card that has a credit limit of £1800.
I have a balance of £800 on this and I intend to pay around £200 a month till I clear that and can pay in full each month.

Past history? These are sub-prime cards, but were they obtained due to a bad credit history or simply no credit history?0

Have you asked for a credit limit increase? Or a APR decrease?
There is a button under Access Card Service in the Barclaycard website where you can ask for a limit increase. Have you tried this and did they turn you down?
When I got my Barclaycard I was told I could request a limit increase after three months.0 -
I do not have an online account but I did ring and ask and was refused.0

You seemed to dodge the question about your credit history, does that mean that you do have a bad credit history? In which case I can see why they might not want to raise your limits.
You're holding an £800 balance too, if you have very little income, BarclayCard will be wary of lending you more (they can see your report).Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -

Initial is a card for people with limited or previously poor history. Lots of people have reported on here of credit increases and lowered APRs who have had previous problems in the past. As long as the OP is using their card within the terms and conditions of the account Barclaycard state they will review the credit limit regularly.0 -
Thanks Susie
Yes of course I have previous poor credit british bloke, otherwise
I wouldnt have a Barclaycard Initial Credit Card as Susie explained in her post. By the way I am not ignoring your bad credit question

As I said earlier, this card is available to both those with bad credit history and also to those with no credit history.Yes of course I have previous poor credit british bloke, otherwise

It wasn't obvious at all from your OP which category you fell into...hence my earlier question asking for clarity (which you have now provided).0 -
I just cant see what the point is though
They lose (no interest charges as I pay in full ) and I lose
as I have a poor credit limit0 -

It does seem a bit silly. Once your credit history improves then without a limit increase you are far more likely to go elsewhere and they lose a customer.
Have you double checked your credit reports recently. Sometimes mistakes can occur. Best to check them all once every six months just to be on the safe side.
Good luck.0
