Anyone with Natwest! Please help

hi all, i hope someone can help

long story short there has been some fraudulent activity on my nans account, we haven't confronted the person yet and just wanted to get the facts first

On her statement it says

Telephone/On line transaction

Call Ref No 025
29/02/15 10
A reference number

Could someone who is with Natwest let me know if that is an online or telephone banking transaction?

My nan doesnt have internet banking and we want to know if he has set it up?

many thanks

I have a couple of Natwest accounts that I use infrequently, and only ever online.

All the internal transfers and Faster Payments I have made seem to show as "CALL REF.NO xxxx, some details...."

Not sure how this will help you in proving that a specific person has made those transactions.

It normally appears as call ref 000 if it was done online.

If it was done over the telephone it will have call ref 123 for example.

Just going through a statement here, as we use online banking for transfers quite often. When we do a transfer from e.g. him to me, the statement reads:

    far left - date
    next column - OnLine Transaction
    middle column - CALL REF.NO. 0415
    ..........................MY NAME*
right columns - debit amount & resulting balance

(* this is the payee reference as I've typed it when setting up the payee, I can tell as it's actually my old name)
