Cheapest Holiday Website

It's been a while since we traveled abroad, and I will admit I am not uptodate with the cheapest travel agents?

Adults: 2
Date & Duration: 2 Weeks - September
Destination: Canaries (Lanzarote if Possible)
Board: All Inclusive

Budget it £1300, but I would like to get this for £1000 everything included, is this possible? Maybe booking last minute?

If anyone has any reasonable travel agents, please let me know.

Icelolly, onthebeach, lowcostholidays to name but a few.

Also try the big boys like thomas cook, jet2 and thomson, they sometimes have package deals which are unbeatable, even if you try and arrange flights and hotels individually.

Lanzarote can be had for about £6-700 a week for 2 people SC. If you're going to Puerto Del Carmen I'd advise going SC to be honest, there's so much choice of amazing food and it's very reasonable.

Beers can still be had for 1 euro too if you know where to look!

Icelolly and onthebeach are good for seeing what flight+accommodation deals are possible and then going and booking direct with the airline and accommodation separately.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • We are using onthebeach this year for the third time and have had no problems!

I always make sure I check the hotel with other travel agents/ trip advisor before I book and with this years hotel we are saving over £1000 compared to booking with Thomson and it's even cheaper than booking direct!

It definitely pays to shop around, find somewhere you like and make it fit your budget!

£1,000 is doable with travelrepublic but, as lee says above, with food and drink prices so low, and a large variety of restaurants, why do you want to tie yourselves down to AI?

BTW lee, cheapest pint I got in PDC a couple of weeks ago was 1.40 euros, with most of them being 1.50 euros through the day. Still, at just over 1.40 to the pound I wasn't complaining!
  • I would never do AI in Spain for sure, half board maybe.
Check the travel agency Holiday time too, they are really good and could do £1000

    All are very good.

I'd personally disagree with people above saying avoid AI in the Canaries. I've been to a few AI hotels on Lanzarote, and have to say that the choice has been as good or better than you could get in the restaurants locally, and it's always nice and relaxing to know everything's sorted.
  • Thanks to all who have replied!!

The reason we like AI is for the peace of mind, knowing that everything is paid for and we can eat and drink when we like.

I have wrote all the above websites down and I am going to have a look at them, I have also came across LoveHolidays.com, which is unbeavably cheap, does anyone recommend them?
