Insurance with hearing aids

Hi Everyone,

Excuse the title but I didn't quite know how else to put it. Does it make much of a difference to peoples general insurance. I have to get my hearing checked and I am fully expecting I will need one as I know in my heart of hears it has been getting worst.

Has it made much of a diff to peoples qoutes. With regards to performance cars, if it makes a difference.

    You don't need to tell the DVLA if you are deaf, so no need to tell your insurer

    Since you can quite legally drive with one eye, I can;t see how wearing a hearing aid is an impediment, or increases your risk.

    I believe hearing loss can result in minor delays in the quotation process for those buying insurance over the telephone, owing to the need for the operator to repeat themselves.

    You can also drive legally with one arm, one leg, or one kidney.

    These are all equally irrelevant to the original question.

    Hearing loss does not need to be declared to the DVLA or your insurer.

    It doesn't have to be declared if you are only driving a car or motorbike, but if you drive a lorry, coach or bus then you are required to inform the DVLA.

    I don't think a performance car can be considered a bus a lorry or a coach :D
