Wellesley & Co

Options
Has anyone got experience of P2P lending via Wellesley & Co. Thinking of putting some money into it. What do you think?
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

I put £5k in, back in September. It's in for 18 months, and I went for all interest on maturity, rather than monthly, so nothing to report on, will be a year before I get my money ( hopefully ! ).

They don't seem to do the 18 month loan anymore, just 1 month, 1 year, 3 years or 5 years.

There is also the Wellesley mini-bond which is a completely different product to the P2P lending, hopefully you know the difference between those.

I think that the investment returns being offered there at the moment aren't worthwhile compared to those available elsewhere. Wellesley or Ablrate given that the latter currently has an 11% loan and seems likely to have fifty or more in the next twelve months, may be holding off until their new software version is released in mid April

Nothing wrong with Wellesley other than the competition, I like their product.

Reading up at the P2P Independent Forum can be educational and I recommend it for anyone considering P2P.

    Do you get commission?;)
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

ROFL, I can see that you've been reading other threads... :)

If they ever do offer a referrer deal and if I still think that they are a good idea at that time, I'll probably put a referrer link over in the referrer section.
