eligible to take out uk travel insurance when living overeas?

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if I can apply for and be covered on a UK travel insurance policy if I am living in another country.


I have been in New Zealand for the last year and travel worldwide now and again. I have a UK passport and address in the UK.


Looking at insurance policies in New Zealand they are super expensive, so I was wondering if I can go for one of the better value annual travel insurance policies offered in the UK. This will be for cover in Asia, USA, Europe and when I go home to UK.


I would not claim on this policy whilst in New Zealand.

many of the policies you would buy in the UK would only cover you for trips starting and ending in the UK
you need to look at something like Worldnomads, more expensive than the regular policies so you should compare to NZ policies
