I received notification this morning that I will receive delivery of the Picanova canvasphoto I ordered for Mother's Day on Monday

I ordered it because of the special offer code that was featured on the MSE website as part of the Mothers Day Promotions page

The Picanova website stated clearly that the deadline for canvas photos was Monday, I ordered it on Saturday.

I have emailed them twice today but heard nothing back.

Not best pleased as you can imagine

Guaranteed delivery of your orders before Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is right around the corner, and like every year, there is always the pursuit of the perfect gift for your mother.

Please check our order deadlines and delivery times to ensure that your photo on canvas arrives just in time for Mother's Day:

  • I also have a bad experience with Picanova and would never use them again.
I ordered for Easter - there was a banner on their site saying "delivery for Easter". They failed and when I asked for a refund they refused stating that German law (where they are based, not where I am) said they didn't have to meet any delivery deadline!
Then, when the print arrived, it was poorly printed. Again I asked for my money back and got a refusal and that another print would be sent. I asked again for a refund because they had well missed the date that the print was for and they refused, quoting another piece of German law that said they don't have to give a refund, just replace it.
So: outside the promised delivery date and of poor quality. I still don't have the replacement (that I don't want) and I have a refusal for a refund.

Does anyone know whether I am protected by UK law here or can they really hide behind German legislation?
I purchased from a ".co.uk" site which I know doesn't mean they are UK based but it does feel like sharp practice.

All in all, I would advise that you never use this service, however "cheap" it may appear.
