Wheelchair Rack for Car

Hi

We're taking my Grandad on a driving holiday but we need some sort of a carry rack for his wheelchair for the back of the car (like a bike rack) because we can't fit it inside with the people and luggage.

I’ve found this product online: the Chairack (see http://www.rica.org.uk/content/racks-trailers-and-bags-transport-wheelchair) but can't find a current supplier (I'm in Berkshire).

Has anyone heard of this or know where I could order one from? This one's great because it lifts the chair into position too and it's much cheaper than the hydraulic ones that put the chair on the roofrack.

Thanks benniebert. Sorry for the delayed response but thought people might like an update. I found out that, unfortunately, the Chairack hasn't been manufactured for some time and the retailer you mentioned no longer sells it (and is now under a different trade name).

We've gone for the Thule EasyBase 949 http://www.thule.com/en/gb/products/carriers-and-racks/boxes-and-baskets/rear-mounted-cargo/thule-easybase-949-_-949000

This was the best alternative I could find. I hope this info is useful to others looking for something similar.
