Ebay wants my pin no.

My partner just got an email from Ebay telling him he has been suspended. They say they require him to re-enter his card details so that they can authenticate it. On the form they are asking for his pin no. which seems odd. Can anyone please advise me if this is normal?

It isn't the same but it does come up with the same sign in page. It struck me as odd because usually windows remembers the user name and password and it failed to do so on this occasion

Mr divadee has had this to, it is a fake.

forward the email on to spoof@ebay.co.uk and they will take a look.

Never put your credit card details again on to ebay they do not ask you to do this.

    HTH ;D

Easiest way to check is to bid on something for a penny / dirt cheap.. If you can bid then your account is still active

Also never click throught to any link from an email, this will take you to a replica site which could put you and your computer at risk.

If you get a message like this open a new window and type in the actual ebay.co.uk website and log in. You'll soon find that your account is fine and someone is trying to rip you off.

Shugster this is a very very old thread and as there are a lot of concerns about these spoof mails there is now a sticky on this board that hopefully reflects your response.
