Payday for Mrs SJ today so some mini money shuffling (namely repaying the loan we had from our savings), then a gentle 50p TT that nudges the weekly total up to £2.07 (at an average of 41p per day!).

I've been doing lots of thinking about musing about savings, pensions, retirement plans/options and net worth tracking. I have some thoughts in the ether but not yet got them to spreadsheet format. With everything thought there is a realisation that we are actually in a good place for the future, and that without the last 3yrs of MFW diary we could possibly be in some trouble. By trouble I actually mean definitely having to work till 68!!

So feeling very optimistic about everything, despite the impending dentist bill!

Got a weekend in work before we head to caravan for the last week of the hols on Monday.

No offence taken Jimmy! I'm not sure what TH was referring to - perhaps our joy at seeing the yellow thing in the sky? It's disappeared again here today.... I feel there's a word for it, but it's just out of reach.... in the archives of my brain!

Well after a 13hr day yesterday Saturday has arrived in all its dreary wet glory! I had planned on regrouting the patio this afternoon following DS2's football. So now i think i'll have to change those plans to basically sitting on the couch, drinking tea and snoozing :j I'm not totally lazy though i will take the dog for a couple of walks.

40p TT this morning.

Michelle - if i can knock 12 years off a 30 mortgage term, but effectively do it in 9 years then i'd hope we can knock 5yrs off work....

Well another Sunday arrives and with it comes a £1 TT and then an OP of the weekly pot of £3.47. Happy enough with that.

That patio will be re grouted this afternoon...he says...checking forecast for rain!

I totally agree that working until age 68 is a horrible thought ( that is my SRP age too ) If I work until 68, I will have worked for 51 years :eek:
