  • I know what you mean about trying to get into gear again....we're now in the second half of January - where has that time disappeared to!

I've still not devoted time to getting back to MB. I suspect it will be one of those things that I need to wait for DH to be working at a weekend so I can have uninterrupted peace for a while without him constantly saying "but HOW is THAT risk free".....!

It will happen.....I want to be ready for all the football world cup offers!!!
  • My eldest niece is just two and I'm not sure she really had Christmas grasped anyway. By next year there might be wants articulated!

That sucks on the MB, have they closed Mrs SJ's accounts too?
  • I reckon we could get away with just buying a load of candles and she's be ecstatic blowing them out all day!

Feels like its been a long long week, and its only Wednesday. Thankfully i don't work on a Thursday so am hoping for a day of mental switch off as work has been mentally tough this week.

Avid readers may recall (yeah right) may recall my intention to find a new job/career path in 2018, and the early part of the year has confirmed that its definitely something i want to do. So I've been looking and researching over the last week or so. I may need to drop wages slightly by being at the bottom of a wage band, but i think i should be able to retain the same pay band. Unfortunately jobs in my industry aren't so plentiful so it may be a lengthy process, but at least i'm not in a position where i dislike my current job. Its just very demanding and everyone has a shelf life before it chews them up and spits them out, and i'm 5yrs past the average length of time!

Well time has beaten me for the day so I'm off for a shower and a diary catch up in bed!

Can you summarise matched betting in a sentence or two, or point me in the direction of an idiots guide?

Its just occurred to me that i haven't reported on our ebay activity for 2018. I relisted all our previously unsold items 2 weeks ago, and then relisted again etc... For the first 2 weeks we managed to get rid of 10 items of clutter, and a few things that i reckon had been listed 50 times over the past 2 years! Last Sunday we had another blitz of kids clothes, following the Christmas presents, and managed to list 28 items (have a further 10 or so to list this weekend). Please to say that so far we have 4 items with bids on from the latest trench of new listings. Ebay is a big part of our continual house de-cluttering. We then use the paypal fund to pay for the next childs birthday party that is coming up. Although Mrs SJ seems to have been spending it all on eye lashes and the like...!

Most of the time i feel like that and then we have that last week of the month where i'm wondering why we're dipping into overdraft. Then we get paid and i rationalise that if we weren't doing this challenge then we'd be dipping into overdraft anyway, but having paid £600 less off the mortgage each month! Overall i'm happy to get close to £0 in current account the final days before payday as i feel our money has worked as hard as it could for us!
