I was watching 'Pointless' only the other day. One subject was Top 40 single artists in 2012. When the answers were given, I honestly had not even heard of any of them! I am extremely proud of this, as I am of never having watched and episode of Eastenders, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale......

The only exception being pre-1963 Coronation Street before my mother died. I was a 'lad' and she watched it so I was forced to. I would just love to know if Ena Sharples, Martha Longhurst, and Minnie Cauldwell are still in it.

Maybe I'm out of touch, but I'm happy to be so. I wouldn't recognise Beyonce if he slapped me in the face.

So to confirm you've never watched a soap opera apart from the soap operas you've seen.

I am latterly coming to pop music as the Generalissimos get into it. Some of it is quite fun or at least features attractive women wearing few clothes which is always to be encouraged IMHO.

Best watched with the sound off though of course....
