Road tax expired, found out the car is not in my name

According to the first post, the car was purchased a year ago and came with 6 months tax. Very good point. I just read up on it. "Any remaining road tax will not transfer to the new owner with the vehicle"

According to the first post, the car was purchased a year ago and came with 6 months tax. It has not been taxed or SORN'd for around 6 months.
That won't make any difference to the OP at this stage, if it is taxed now, it will be in the name of the current registered keeper and will be cancelled when the DVLA process the change of keeper.0 -
Not if you put the reference number from the new keeper supplement in when you tax it.
