Do Hardship Rules Apply To Me?

I was a single parent employed P/T up to the end of 2007, then had loads of hassle with HB and ended up with rent arrears, leading to me being evicted (my daughter turned 18 and moved out a couple of months earlier, so she was ok thankfully). I had gotten quite a few bank charges during this time as well (over roughly 18 months) due to going overdrawn or payments/DDs bouncing back, trying to pay bills and rent. I moved into a caravan, becoming 'officially' homeless, and finally managed to find F/T work in July 2013. So, is there any chance that i could still qualify under the hardship rules, homeless, but now working? And i understand that you can only claim for a 6 year period, can it only be the last 6 years? The vast majority of my charges (then charges upon charges) fall outside of that.

That is not correct. The bank will decide based on their assessment of your CURRENT financial position. Some banks will go back 6 months, some 12 months, some further. However, they look at your current position. Not historic.
