I don't think it's very likely they are any good

Sigh.
Come back when you've Completed and let us know what your final bill came to.....0 -
Thanks for the sarcasm.... Very helpful
We are first time buyers so could do with some advice here, homeward legal claim to not have any hidden charges??0 -
True. None of the charges are hidden. They are all laid out in the Terms of Business and or contract and/or supplementary charges sheet.0

From other threads it seems like they are just a company that will pass you on to another firm and collect comission.
A reputable local firm are a better bet.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
They offer no move no fee.Mmmm not when ours fell through as they kept the deposit I've paid upfront
And they say keep it until we use them which might be sometime never...BEWARE0 -
Does your fixed fee quote include
* dealing with the lease (if it's leasehold)?
* acting for the mortgage lender (if you are borrowing)?
* completing the SDLT form (often charged as an extra)?
* PI insurance for the solicitor?
* postage etc?
And how much do they charge for
* offce copies?
* bank transfers?
The 'extras' can soon make up the gap between their original quote & an apparantly more expensive conveyancer....0 -
Following on from G_M's post, read this article to understand what "good" looks like for quotations and what to expect from a good quotation.0
