Going travelling, need some advice on money

I am stuck in a bit of a hole with what to do with my money whilst travelling. Can anyone help please.
By time I leave I will have around £15,000 saved up which will be in a Lloyds UK bank account.
I'm going to Ibiza for four months to work. I will be changing up 2000 euros before I go as initial rent money and some breathing cash whilst I move in etc. Fingers crossed I should have a job once I go (interview pending). I was going to change the euros up and then load them onto a Euro Cash Passport card? Is that the right thing to do?
Should I consider a bank account over there for four months?
Then I'm flying on to Australia, NZ and Thailand in that order then I don't know where after that. What bank account would you suggest I put my money in? I'm going to need to make withdrawals from time to time and I don't want to be stung.
What would you do? Thanks!

No, you load a prepaid card using money (pounds) in your bank account. Changing to Euro first would be an expensive mistake.0

Would I get a decent rate when withdrawing?0 -

Withdrawing what from where?0 -
Thomas Cook for example have the rate 1.379 when I load the card. Is that the best way to keep my money? It's not the best rate I can get. Is there another option?0

I read through that guide several times and I will still at a loss whether I should use a prepay card (and which one) or wait and apply for a Halifax credit card. If you spend abroad, e.g. £20 on a meal. You'll get the best rate that day published by Mastercard? That correct? And if I withdraw £100 from the ATM, is that cheaper than using my prepay card that I've already loaded with money? Sorry

It really is simple with the Halifax Clarity card. Use it for everything, purchases can be paid by DD from your bank account in the usual way, just set up payment in full when due.
Cash withdrawals need to be paid back ASAP from your UK bank, either by phone which is what I do, as we get free calls from France to UK, or on line.
If I were you I would get a card now and start using it in the UK to make sure everything is OK.
Plus get a standby in case of problems.0 -

I'm going to leave it another month to apply for a clarity card because I hampered my rating a little while ago with some searches. My credit rating is good but I want to leave it until the beginning of May to apply.
If I am accepted for a clarity card, should I put some money on my prepay card for withdrawals or everything through the clarity card? Which prepay card should I opt for? I've only had Thomas Cook before and their rate to load cash onto it is 1.379 at the moment. Does Kalixa work in the same way?0 -

Well it doesn't actually exist yet, but it almost looks too good to be true! I can't see any charges, mark-ups or fees anywhere.
If it's as good as it looks, and stays that way when it's released properly, it will be pretty much perfect.0
