I'm looking to buy a car approx 6k. I have the cash in the bank ready to go but can't decide if it would be worth paying via my Tesco credit card, then paying off balance with the cash.
Dealer mentioned a fee for using credit card of 3% but don't yet know if that is correct figure. Trying to weigh up fee against club card points and card purchase protection under section 75.
Thoughts?

Dealer will probably wave the fee on a CC £100 payment for S75 protection if your balance will be in cash

Why more than £100?Pay a deposit of more than £100 on credit card. The rest any way you like.
At it's extreme, as little as 1p deposit on the credit card would secure full section 75 protection on the purchase, ie there's no minimum amount required...just that the item cost is between £100 and £30K.0 -
