Vanquis not taking payment?

I paid my DH's vanquis card, on Monday morning. Payment was due today, and it takes 3 working days. It hasn't been taken from the bank account, and isn't showing as pending. The transaction was authorised. DH is away, and thet won't speak to me. I'm not very impressed

I called yesterday and there was a prerecorded message saying there is a problem with their banking system and they are unable to take any payments at the moment, and will contact affected customers once resolved.

I would assume it won't harm your account with them as its a problem on their side rather than yours.

Thanks. I didn't want to make a second payment in case they take the first, so I did a promise to pay. I'm not impressed with them tbh - you'd have thought they'd have put the message on their website? I can't ring because the card is my DH's.

Good luck getting it sorted. I made a payment by bank transfer on Weds and it has shown on my account today with no problems.
