Extra charges on credit cards

The other day I used a credit card to pay for some tickets online, they charged a credit card fee, however if I use a debit card there is no fee.

Is this normal? And do they always have to tell you there going to charge?

Also if I was to get cashback on a purchase using my card would I be charged as I have 0% on purchases, so would it go down as a purchase at the 0% rate? or would it be treated as if I was taking money out from a cash point (which is charged)

Thanks

It is normal in the travel industry to charge extra for paying by credit cards. IMO the benefits far outweigh the charge rather than use a debit card.

You should not be able to get cashback on a credit card unless the shop has made a mistake.
