3.5 hardrive

can anyone tell me is a 3.5 hardrive like this one

is this portable i:e small enough to carry in a laptop bag and is it is how about a 3.5 is that ok as well

    THey're not small. It'll fit in a laptop bag without a laptop in it. They're all 3.5" Hard drives in them.

    Most 3.5" drives will fit in a laptop bag, but don't forget they also have power adaptors that can be quite large that one looks all nice and tarted up so it could be huge, a mate of mine has a drive from seagate that looks like th ATMT media player on that page, its height is the same as one of my drives but it is about twice as wide so wont fit in a laptop bag. I have carried the 3.5" drive in my laptop bag but I have a huge pocket on the front where I put cables and the AC adaptor if I put stuff in tidy it fits in just about.

    These are 2 of my extertnal drives, the freecom and its power adaptor not includeing the cable to the mains and the on on the right is useing a 2.5" drive and is powered by the laptop/pc USB port so no extra cables required. i stuck a 10p on top for an idea of scale.
