Android Tablet - Apps to make it Child safe

Hi,
I have purchased an Asus 7" tablet for my Daughter - main function is for Games. I stripped a lot of Apps off, of the ones left that are necessary but I don't want her accessing, such as Google Play I have locked. It's running Android version 4.4.2.
I would like her to be able to use the Internet but clearly with 'safe' filtering enabled. I thought this would be straightforward and could be configured via Settings but I really seem to be struggling.
I've enabled Google Safe Search but I need an App that prevents access to inappropriate sites, content etc - can anyone recommend one that works well and is unobtrusive?
Is there a similar App re Youtube, there are lots of films, clips etc I know she'd like to watch but again I need to ensure she can't see anything inappropriate.
Don't worry, for now, both Browser and Youtube are locked until I can find something that allows safe use!
Thanks in advance

Set up a second user account and make her use that

You can control what apps can be used and cut off access to the play store etc.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -

Hi,
Seen that option - for Browser and possibly Youtube I don't want access to be cut-off - simply filtered/moderated/restricted to ensure she's not accessing anything deemed inappropriate - it's this bit I seem to be struggling to get a decent app for...0 -
Just set up a new user as indicated earlier then use the free tools from google:

You probably need something like NetNanny or look at the wikipedia entry for other suggestions

Depending on your Anti Virus package it may already be something you already have in a subscription, if you have any internet protection packs rather than just AV.0 -

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a perfect filter and some things do get through and most annoyingly block innocent things.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -

True, but its a start, and probably a little wider ranging than using Google Search or Youtube restrictions, when the child may use a different browser to go to less savoury parts of the web through clicking links rather than direct searching.0
