Which Pressure Washer ?

Recommendations, please folks, for a new pressure washer.

I've had a Karcher for many years, which to be honest I've been very pleased with. Sadly it's finally given up the ghost. I know Karcher are a very well-known name, but I've also seen a lot of Nilfisk machines around which seem to get quite good reviews. Any opinions, or other suggestions ?

I use it quite a lot, for the usual sort of domestic jobs - cleaning cars, patio, driveway, garden toys & furniture etc. Any opinions as to the best model for a reasonable price gratefully received, many thanks.

Thanks SaveMoney - online reviews certainly seem to be good as well.

Sorry, one more question. I've seen some for sale on CleanStore.co.uk, cheaper than the same model on Amazon ( my usual first port of call ). Never come across this company before, is it legit ?

+1 for Nilfisk, They actually make/sell more pressure washers and steam cleaners than Karcher do but they don't seem to drive the marketing as much.

Just make sure its not left to over Winter in a cold shed where it can freeze.......

I bought a Lidl Parkside 150L model four years ago. Its been fine, except one of the lances cracked under pressure. I just rang the warranty line and they sent me a new one which has been strengthened, so it must have been a common failure. I also have a jetter extension for drain work which is useful in my work from time to time.

I know it's at the cheap and cheerful end, but all my Lidl Parkside power tools have proved excellent and have three year warranties, which seem to be no quibble if my experience is anything to go by.

I heard Karcher products are now made cheaply in different countries and the build quality has been terrible for a few years, compared to what they once were.

Typical over-managed business brand, where marketing is top notch and products are provided to reflect afford-ability... shape represents the brand, but it is so badly and deliberately cheaply made, that it will under-perform- break in no time and punter is going to get another one

Me, I was like that, but "fool me 3'rd time..." kinda rung the bell...

I read that Nilfisk use metal pumps whereas Karcher use cheaper plastic pumps which are more prone to failure. Seems Karcher spend their money on marketing rather than their products.
