Same Debt reported twice

Is this correct? When I look at my credit file it shows two defaulted (now satisfied) accounts
One from MBNA and one from Aktiv Kapital
Both show same start date and same default date, both however show differing opening balances and account numbers
MBNA shows DA but what do people searching it see? Do they see two accounts and is this the correct way it should be reported? Other one on I had that was sold on the entry changed to the new holder and only shows once.

DA means Debt Assigned.
Any potential creditor searching your file would either not see that old entry, or be made aware by that flag that it's not a separate account, but just the previous record of the other one.
You can have 2 entries like that for the same debt, and it is allowed, as longer as the debt assigned flag is on the original to show it's a duplicate not a separate account.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

But with different account numbers and balances what identifies it as the same account. Aktiv Kapital could be reporting a completely different debt?0
