Replace battery in Black & Decker DustBuster?

On my 2nd DustBuster, my current 18v li-ion one replaced the last one where the battery became too weak after about 4 years.
This newest one has only lasted only 2 years before suction has become poor due again I guess to a weakening battery.
Well I once managed to take apart and replace the battery of a Tomtom sat nav following an Internet how-to, so thought I might do the same for this vac.
So far I've not found any how-tos on this, especially on where to source the battery.
It's this vac:

Any suggestions?

To be honest I'd throw it away. I would worry about fitting a third party battery that may decide to explode when on charge.0

Yes this thought did cross my mind.
Now, we all routinely buy unknown-source rechargeable Li-ion batteries for small things like mobiles/sat navs (well I have). But I suppose you are thinking this is one heavy duty battery here, so the explosion would be that much bigger!
That means that I'm never going to buy a Black & Decker battery vac again. It's not just the money, it's the unnecessary landfill aspect too.
And will be looking for a replacement that has a replaceable battery - the choices do not look brilliant at the moment though.
PS just checked my Amazon order history and the B&D was bought Dec 2013, so is about 15 months old. Not happy.0
