Contact BT and their nuisance calls people should sort it out. Just ring the operator (150 as I recall) and they should be able to put you through to the right person

These calls are nuisance calls regardless of whether it is a human or an automated junk fax dialler, which is what this appears to be.

Their number appears on a list HERE, something to do with phone upgrades. Fatnbald is right ring BT and get the number barred/report it for abuse.
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!
  • HI there, Thanks for the info, only I did a google search on the number, as it has been doing exactly the same to me at all hours and I'm trying to run a business from that line. So thanks BT have sorted it, although when I called them before they told me it was because I was using a dect phone!!!!???? Nuisance calls was the way forward. Thankyou
  • Hi there, just registered to put my pennies worth in. I have been having the same problems with this number. I found the following information on the internet......

    company details are as follows

    EMS Internet LTD
    Patten House
    Moulders Lane
    Warrington
    WA1 2BA

    Tel. 01925413333

If you look the company up in google they have a different address and contact number which is an 0870 number (its going to cost you more) If you ring the number above they will remove you from the database. I was advised to press option 3 for customer services, but it seems the have only one person working in customer services (laura) and she seems to be absent from her desk far too much!. Simply do not press any options and you will get through, I was advised that my number would be removed immediately (they seemed well aware of the hassle they were causing people). I also informed them that I would be reporting the company to the ICO. I would strongly urge all others to do the same.

https://www.tpsonline.org.uk and register every single number you can think of. That way, when they contact you, you report it to TPS and they get a fine.

Probably worth registering on www.fpsonline.org.uk as well if they're actually fax tones.
