A couple of years ago I bought a flat for my mum to live in. The freeholder is Sinclair Gardens, based in Bognor Regis. I heard nothing from them until about a year ago when they started to demand money. I have paid them the ground rent and am completely up to date on that but the 'statement of account' they've sent me says I owe them over £1,000. I've asked them for an explanation of each if the fees, but they has failed to provide one. And now they're threatening to instruct solicitors.

Has anyone else had dealings with them and have any advice as to how I should proceed?
