    IIRC the longest power cut we have had in 26 years has been about 12 hours - and it didn't affect my clock.
    P.S. With everything operated by cheap Chinese electric motors powered by AA/AAA batteries, it did occur to me that very young contributors might not know the term 'Clockwork'

    I do have an old analogue electric meter timer switch I have acquired and will have to have a look at how easy it is to adjust it. I ve been told its not as easy as it looks.
