Im after a wedding photographer for a wedding in Armagh.
I'm not that fond of photos and always think my discomfort shows in any pics taken of me, so am after a photographer that does more natural shots, rather than the posed ones.
I don't mind family/group photos, but I don't like real staged/unnatural poses that I'm not going to put up on my wall.
However, finding a photographer to do this is hard given the budget we have - £900. The cheapest I could find was £1200 and that was without an album.
I met with a few other photographers who were cheaper but when I asked about more natural photos, they said they preferred the styled pics.
I appreciate the photographs are very important, but we have a very specific budget in mind and going over it on photos would mean scrimping elsewhere, when we are already going quite minimal on most items already.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
thanks

Do you want an album? I think for £900 you have no chance of getting one TBH. I think the going rate is around £1200 - £1500 now just for the pics on the day.0

I didn't personally have a photographer, two family members have super camera's and took 2500 pictures between them for me, then I made an album myself with the ones I loved for £12.00
If I had of got a photographer, I've had got this girl - Kirsty Lynn, from Portadown which is closer to you also.

I don't know her, but I've saw some of her work on facebook and it's very much the natural style your talking about. I can't speak for her prices though0 -
We used Claire at a thousand words photography...she was brilliant and we were like you and wanted a more relaxed style...
We got a photo book style album and two parent albums. Everyone loved our photos and everyone commented on how relaxed Claire made everyone feel. Couldn't recommend her highly enough!0 -

I was at a wedding yesterday and they had a photo booth. It's called snap2share. The booth is set up and guests go in and get their photos taken. They get a copy of the photo and the host gets a disc containing all the photos. It was great fun and a great way to get quirky photos of your day.0

Haven't seen a photographer at a wedding for ages.
Almost any idiot can take a decent photo now. And, as mentioned above, when you get everybody else's photos in, you can wade through the hundreds and thousands and pick out the ones you want.
Pay some photoshoper a few quid to spruce them up and the job's done.
Can't imagine anyone paying a thousand pounds for a photographer. More money than sense.0
