Computer screen wipes?

I got a lovely new laptop for Christmas (in the sales of course) with a touch screen. Now, of course, it's continually covered in fingermarks and smudges. Have just finished my pack of screen wipes and was wondering if there was a low cost alternative - effective and safe to use on the screen. Anyone know any good solutions? Thanks.

Don't know whether they are cheaper but for my sons tablet I have always used baby wipes to clean it with no issues for the last year and a half.

Maybe I shouldn't be but has never caused any issues with the tablet and gets rid of everything that a young child could wipe on the screen.

A damp (not wringing wet) microfibre cloth does the job well on laptops and tv screens and won't cause any damage.
  • Mix white vinegar and distilled water (99p from sainsburys) at a ratio of 50:50 in a travel spray bottle (the ones they sell for taking stuff on a plane) and lightly spray onto a micrifibre (not the screen) good for plasma screens and car windows.

With my tablet and touch screen phone, I have very good quality screen protectors. The best quality ones are pricey (my iphone alone was £15) but it has lasted years and is so thin it feels like it's not there.

That way the screen is protected and you're just wiping the protector (I normally do this with tissue and window spray).

    This is what I do.

    1Get a microfibre cloth.
    2. Boil some water in kettle
    3. please microfibre cloth over the kettle so it gets steamed
    4. Use the hot/steamed cloth to wipe any PC/laptop/TV screens.

comes out looking brand new. Use at owners risk obviously but works for me

Poundland usually have a small spray and cloth set that will suffice..
