Hi
Just saw some posts and a Internet site offering low weight conservatory roof which helps with temperature regulation and makes conservatory more usable.
Has anyone actually got any of these and roughly how much does it cost.

My brother has one. It has turned his from unusable most of the year to habitable year round and nowadays it's a play room for his children.
No idea of the cost though, since I'm not the sort of person that asks.
Be aware that there is some debate about whether it will still be a conservatory with an opaque roof.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
These roofs are a questionable area with regards the Building Regulations and hence the law. There are many saying they are illegal, but the sales people and manufacturers will tell you a different story.
I am not a fan of these roofs on pragmatic grounds - let others argue about the legality. Conservatories are suspect, light weight, short life, unregulated structures that the Government has been trying to regulate for years.
The replacement roofs are the latest, must have, home improvement money making scheme. An unregulated market with many dubious fitters and companies. I am aware of many people who could have recieved a new conservatory for the price they have paid for these roofs
The price of the roof is whatever the installer can get away with charging. I am aware of people paying £7000-£10000 for a replacement roof for a typical conservatory.0
