Did try it ages ago and cannot remember why I stopped using it.

Ask your question on their forum is probably best.

I'd never heard of it. Why would anyone want to use it?

It appears to be a modified version of Chrome. Never tried Slimjet but I'm not too enamoured with Chrome so probably won't bother with it.

Gunte, I think it was called Slimbrowser before, but it has evolved recently into Slimjet. I did ask, but due to numbers of people using it, answers are not very forthcoming and those that have, have been of no use to me at all, either because I'm thick or they have missed a vital part in try to explain.

    esuhl, it's about photo enhancement.

bod1467 I too had never heard of it, saw it mentioned in a computer magazine and after looking at this thought I'd give it a go as both FF and chrome have let me down at times and I fancied a change. Other than this photo thing I can't get to grips with, it's ok for me.

!!!!!!, I often feel the same as you, then think I'll try anything once and if I like it I'll do it again.

I would value your comments on it now, why don't you give it a try.

Q: What is the difference between Slimjet, SlimBrowser and SlimBoat?

They are all web browser products from FlashPeak Inc but they are based on different engines. Slimjet is based on Blink engine (the engine behind Chrome from Google). SlimBrowser is based on Trident engine (the engine behind Internet Explorer from Microsoft). SlimBoat is based on the Qt-port of Webkit engine. The three browsers have a similar set of features. Slimjet is the most robust and stable of the three and is most suitable for people who prefer a simple and clean user interface. SlimBrowser is suitable for people who prefer an advanced user interface with as many options as possible. SlimBoat has the smallest memory footprint and run across multiple platforms but might have compatibility issues with a few web sites due to the QtWebkit engine.

Hmmm...any particular ulterior motive as to why ?
