Wednesday 11th March - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

Morning folks
Thanks to ziggy for starting us off.
Started the day with gorgeous sunshine but it has gone all murky now. Milliemummy - I see that you are relatively near to me geographically so I guess the clouds are heading your way too.
Veggies are starting to get there. I have 3 pea seedlings now and another chilli and tomato have appeared
Plus I have been authorised to do any overtime required on my current project. Good for a couple of extra ££
Had a very difficult discussion last night with OH about some money he owes me (the CC). Not sure how it went, but he claimed to have forgotten about it (£500)...
The little list:- B/L/D from stores.
- Charge phone in work - done
- Log calories in free app - done
- Check online banking and reconcile against spreadsheet - done
- Check new shoptize offers - done
- Read Martin's email - done
- Keep heating off til at least 7. Popped it on briefly this morning (on 3)
- Housework from rota (OH being very helpful so far)
- Tend to veggies
- Doing some overtime - done
- Possibly some crochet. Have a project that I'm doing for someone else that I keep putting off. Naughty!
- Think of a present for OH's nan. It's her birthday tomorrow but she's very difficult to buy or make for.
Have a good one all

Morning all

I am looking after baby GD today, so it is fair to say that not much will get done.
She is asleep atm, which is why I have managed to get on here
So far I have:
Fed hens and dog
Washed up and tidied kitchen
Bread machine on
Checked banks
Put an item on freecycle, which is hopefully being collected later today
Chased up ebay seller about item that hasn't arrived
And my tomato seedlings are coming up as well CLF
Still to do:
Aim for a NSD
Meals from stores - I made enough chilli yesterday for this evening as well
Polish dining table - it is an antique mahogany one and I will need to ask OH for the right stuff to do it. He will have some of whatever it is in his workshop. This will be better than the ordinary household polish that I have in the cupboard
Heating off as much as possible, though must keep it warm for baby, especially as she refuses to wear anything on her feet.
Light wood burner later
Not a very ambitious list today I am afraid

Hi All
Twiggy - how weird you also had the night of doom on Monday. Last night was much better for me. Hope you as well?
Not a bad day so far. Sleep helps everything doesn't it.
Haven't really don't much on the MS front today only because I've been at work. Easy meal tonight and early night, just trying to ease gently into the routine again.
Just saying hello really

Hi everyone,
Long time no post, but I have been reading most days. Really good to see the thread so busy with lots of newbies.
Most of my little MSE habits seem to be sticking and since getting YNAB in December, I have been able to make lots of extra payments off the debts, so I can see the numbers coming down. Any savings or extra income (from eb@y etc) have been transferred to my CC. Before, I waited until the end of the month to see what was left, but unfortunately, there never seemed to be much. Paying it off straight away means I can't spend it on anything else in the meantime!
My MSE list for today:
All meals from stores
No spend day
Checked PCL
Updated YNAB
Checked bank account
Oh look at the time, I need to go start making dinner! Bye for now
