Bank charges investigation

Hi first post after some advice or guidance in the next step.
So after being overdrawn for 14 years on overdrafts I never asked for started when I was 17 with a 50 overdraft then they have me a 150 overdraft then 250 then I got a bank loan an within a couple weeks of that they gave me a 750 overdraft dispite clearly struggling to balance my account properly they continued to give me one which has lead to 14 years of bank charges so after following martins template I sent a complaint on Friday and received a phone call on Monday saying the bank have done no wrong but are willing to give me 312 as a goodwill gesture (I demanded 3000 for the past 6 years) so I refused this offer and was told it would be investigated by another department so I phoned back up today (perseverance) and was told it can take upto 8 weeks do you think I should of took the offer or was right to refuse. I have asked for help of them over the years but it was always refused because of my bad credit constantly overdrawn. Also can anybody help with this when I got a bank loan I had ppi aswell and I got made redundant and had to claim from it got got myself back into work finished paying the loan then received a letter stating I had to pay 1000 (bang on seems odd) for the ppi I had claimed and they wanted it within 4 weeks or face court proceedings now at the time I was earning 800 a month and they knew that I asked for help with this it got refused (borrowed of parents in the end) is there anything I can claim with this. Thanks in advance

Its a gamble. You will have to wait and see if they up the offer or withdraw it. I think its unlikely they will withdraw it (unless they find new info about your spending habits).

You will need to explain that one a bit more. The only reason you would be asked for money is if the premium was never paid and you put a successful claim on the policy or the claim was paid out in error.
