Guidance on Transfering S&S ISA from Fund Manager to DIY platform

I've had a very simple S&S ISA with Jupiter containing their Jupiter European fund for years now, contributing monthly. I've been very lazy with diversifying my investments thus far, i.e. done nothing at all, but now want to take more control. My plan was to start up a new DIY S&S ISA on a platform such as AJBell YouInvest (or similar) which would allow me more flexibility - and as I move towards retirement start to ensure I can move to a more income based strategy.

Does anyone see any negatives (or positives) for transferring the old Jupiter ISA into the new platform?

I believe the old "dirty" Jupiter European Inc fund is likely to be converted into the clean equivalent during the transfer (the I class I suspect). It looks like the charges on the clean fund are lower (0.75% cf. 1.5%/1.78% OCF), and ultimately the overall charges on YouInvest would be lower as they are capped at £50/qtr at YouInvest. The current value of my holdings at Jupiter are £150K, so platforms such as HL or other %age based ones without a cap would be really expensive.

Does it make sense to move away from using the fund manager directly?

It might involve a conversion, or it might involve the fund being sold and transferred in cash. As long as you can buy it again (or invest in whatever else you want to buy with the proceeds), then this shouldn't be a big problem, but it may mean that you are out of the market for a short time.
