RAC Breakdown Cover with Tesco Insurance

I'm looking at taking out a new policy with Tesco Insurance and they currently offer RAC Cover, which I'm happy to take.

The problem is, I've heard that with RAC there is an age limit for the vehicle on their lowest policy if you buy it outright as a product.

Now, Tesco are offering the lowest policy at a decent enough price as part of my policy and I'm happy to take it, but the vehicle is 17 years old. I cannot seem to find out from the policy whether my vehicle will be covered or not, does anyone know?

    QUOTE from RAC site
If you have chosen RAC Vehicle Roadside Cover only, then your vehicle must be under 10 years old
So the free breakdown would be worthless if its roadside cover only.

  • Just seen this on the Tesco Bank website that your car must be no older than 16 years at the time you

The exact wording it "The vehicle must have been no more than 16 years old at the date you first bought your Tesco bank breakdown policy"

Its in the breakdown policy booklet
